Flab or Fab?

A journey towards better health.

Falling Off the Face of the Earth. . .

No, I haven’t fallen off the face of the earth.  I’ve actually been unable to update my blog because I’m buried under something heavy.  Nevermind that I’m actually buried under a mountain of laundry and clutter because my house is a wreck.

In all honestly, I’ve been pretty good so far.  I think I’ve gotten into a regular routine of eating smaller meals more frequently.  In fact, I noticed that when I made fajitas the other day, I could only eat one and I was STUFFED.  This is a good sign.

I’ve still been going to the gym regularly, although I did miss last Wednesday because I had to be at my son’s school and had work-related issues.  I also missed Monday’s workout because I was asked at the last minute to chaperone a field trip.  I felt really bad about missing my workout that day, but I think I more than made up for it during the fieldtrip.

Not only did I run after a large group of fourth-graders, but I also danced a reel with them (like they did in the 1800s) and I played Hopscotch and Simon Says.  I swear, those kids made me bend down and touch my toes and then jump up and down about a million times.  I’m actually sore from all the insanity.  But it was fun and I got to spend some quality time with my son.

I am planning on going to the gym tomorrow and they’re going to be weighing me again.  I’m not really looking forward to that because I don’t think I’ve lost any additional weight.  I don’t think I’ve gained anything either though, so that’s probably good.

I need to just get back into the swing of things and refocus my efforts again on weight loss.  I’ve been good, but I need to do BETTER.  I need to work out more and be more active.

And I need to post more regularly. . .

NO EXCUSES!  I *AM* going to do this.

ALL OF THIS.

  1. You ARE doing it!

Way to go on the small meals…I’m convinced that is critical, at least for many people. It has certainly made the difference for me.

And when you’re done with your mountain of laundry, wanna tackle mine? :-)
